In Loving Memory Of
Brandon Christopher Clark

A long time resident of San Marcos, Brandon passed away in his sleep on Monday, July 20th, 2009.  Born August 26th, 1972 to Patricia Roudebush and Michael Clark, he was a licenced building contractor and third degree black belt in Kempo Karate.

Brandon's true passion, however, were his children,
whom he coached in softball, baseball and loved with all his heart.

He was a devoted husband and an inspiration to those of us lucky enough to have known him.
He will be missed.

Brandon in survived by his wife Jovelyn, his daughters Joanna and Brittany, and his son Benjamin; his brother Michael and his wife Kristyn; his brother Jeff and wife Kathleen; his sister Jennifer and her husband Joe; as well as 11 nieces and nephews; and his compadre Manny and Yoly Martinez.

In Honor of Brandon, Contributions may be made to the Clark Children's Trust Fund at Chase Bank.

   Brandon's Poem

When you think of Brandon, don’t be sad

Instead think of a great friend, brother, husband and dad.

Remember the king of sarcasm and wit

And the smile to beat all when he was full of “it”.

Remember the coach who loved his girls above all

Who wasn’t about winning but was there to have a ball.

In turn his girls adored him and they learned to be more

More than just players, more than just a score.

They learned to be good people, to be humble and grand

And when winning to extend a respectful hand.

Brandon knew each of his girls, their quirks and their stats

He knew when to rein them in and when to let them loose at bat.

For the past year of his life Brandon lived in horrible pain

And yet you’d rarely hear him have self-pity or complain.

He’d find a way to poke fun at himself or make light of that too

Because his main concern was always what he could do for YOU.

The world needs more Brandon Clarks, of this there’s no doubt

Softball will never be the same, but he’d NEVER want us to opt out.

My comfort lies in knowing he’s now in a better place

Teaching angels softball and running that place!

Rest in peace Brandon.
